Now Available to Watch - "Understanding User Needs - How Negative Feedback Can Help You Innovate" User feedback is one of the most powerful tools for innovation and service improvement. In our recent Digital Leaders Week talk, TSO’s Lisa Hallett CMktr Marketing Director, and Dr Denise Kelly Head of Design and Research, explored how organisations can harness feedback to drive meaningful change, enhance accessibility, and improve regulatory content. Key insights from the session include: - Negative feedback is an opportunity, not a threat - it highlights pain points and fuels innovation. - AI is transforming feedback analysis, helping organisations detect sentiment, identify trends and respond more efficiently. - Closing the feedback loop is crucial - showing users how their input drives real improvements builds trust and engagement. One of the standout sessions at last week’s Institute of Regulation Annual Conference explored how regulators can foster a culture that encourages innovation while balancing their core responsibilities. Regulators face mounting pressure to deliver their duties, support economic growth, and do more with limited resources. Yet, there are clear opportunities to collaborate, embrace innovative approaches, explore AI and enhance data-driven decision-making. In a thought-provoking session, speakers from the Food Standards Agency (FSA), NHS England, Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and the new Regulatory Innovation Office (RIO) shared practical steps to embed innovation in regulation, from rewarding new thinking to leadership teams modelling change. The FSA reinforced that effective regulation is the key to growth, focusing on making it easier for businesses to do the right thing while protecting the public. Meanwhile, the RIO highlighted their mission to enable new technologies to reach the market quickly, making the UK a top destination for innovation. At TSO, we are committed to helping regulators structure and digitise regulations, making them easier to find, use, and understand - a vital step in enabling innovation. #Regulation #DigitalTransformation #TSO #InstituteOfRegulation #RegulatoryPublishing #RegulatoryInnovation

TSO's Digitising Regulations and Standards Talk is Now Available on YouTube! Structured regulatory content is more than just about organisation - it’s the foundation for accuracy, accessibility, and long-term compliance. In our recent talk at the Digital Leaders event, our CEO Richard South and Business Development Director Alan Blanchard explored why digitising regulations and standards is essential for future-proofing regulatory management. Key takeaways included: -Without structured data, regulatory updates can be slow, inconsistent, and difficult to implement. -Machine-readable regulations are no longer a ‘nice-to-have’ - they are critical for organisations looking to stay ahead in an AI-driven world. -The shift from static PDFs to dynamic digital ecosystems is happening now, improving accessibility, compliance, and efficiency.
